Editing Orders
This guide walks through how to view, edit, and customize your Orders as admin within Kixxl on Shopify.
By managing orders directly through Kixxl, you eliminate the need for back-and-forth file chasing or manual adjustments in design software. The system ensures all your customer uploads are organized, editable, and production-ready, helping you save time and reduce cost.
Ensure your login and the Kixxl Installation to the Shopify store.
1. Accessing the Orders
Go to Shopify Admin, Click Apps → Kixxl → Orders.
(Here, you’ll see a list of all customer orders that included a Kixxl product (e.g., gang sheets, stickers, rolling canvas, etc).

How to Edit as an Admin?
This option lets you (the store owner or staff) open the customer’s order in the Kixxl Editor with full admin privileges. It is used when something needs fixing before printing.
If the admin wants to make changes to the design, click “Edit as admin”. Clicking on it will let you access the editor directly. There you can:
- Re-Arrange Artwork
- Adjust dimensions of an uploaded file.
- Crop / Remove Background
- Replace the wrong Files with the corrected ones.
- Add or Remove Sheets: Duplicate or delete gang sheets within an order.
Click “Update Order” to save the changes.
Pro tips:
Preview before Update: Always review changes in the editor preview to ensure layout integrity.
Log changes: Maintain internal change notes (in the order history or comments) so team members know what was modified.
Keep backups: Download original versions before making edits, especially when cropping or deleting.
How to Edit as a Customer? / Copy Edit Link for Customers
If a customer wants to edit the order, he/she need to be requested to the admin via email. (Request can only be made if allowed by Admin). After receiving the request, the admin will email an Edit Link to the customer. That link allows the customer to access the editor directly. With the editor, the customer can:
- Re-Arrange Artwork
- Adjust dimensions of an uploaded file.
- Crop / Remove Background
- Replace the wrong files with the corrected ones.
- Add or Remove Sheets: Duplicate or delete gang sheets within an order.
Click “Update Order” to save the changes.
Troubleshooting
Customer can’t edit via link?
Often, Links expires or permissions not granted. try regenerate the link or check that “customer edit” is enabled properly.
